Very competent New York dentist

I certainly can't speak for anyone else's experience but I could see where his brusque tendencies would be interpreted negatively. IMHO he's a "typical" New Yorker -- a little cynical, harried, a cusser. But his "bedside" manner when he's at work is great. He seems to know what he is doing. He's competent and honest, and I would recommend him to anyone who values that over a perfectly polished personality.

BEST DENTIST EVER

Not only was dr. wank an amazing dentist he was also an amazing person. He was soooo kind that I recemeded him to EVERYONE i know in need of a dentist. He kindly told me the problems in my mouth. He told me all the posibilities I can choose from to fix the problem. He even told me the prices of each operation and didn't try to persuade me to choose the most expensive because he didn't think it was the best for me. He did a spectacular job on my mouth. HE WAS OUTSTANDING

Professional and Well Qualified

I just recently went to Dr. Wank for the first time. I had a bad experience with my previous dentist and was somewhat nervous before my first appointment. Not only do I not mind going to the dentist now, but I actually enjoy Dr. Wank's great personality. Also, he is extremely professional and he really knows his stuff. Dr. Wank is extremely honest and fair, which is what I look for in a doctor. I trust him very much and recommend him to all!

Horrible and Disrespectful

This dentist seriously injured me a few years ago and has cost me more than $15,000 in cost [and not to mention time] to repair what he did. He did not care to legally communicate to me, a trusting patient, my options before he ground down one of my molars. I was crying and asking where my tooth was and he refused to give me a mirror to see the destruction that he had done. The story gets more frightening, but to keep this brief he permanently destroyed this tooth and I have spent the last several years having to fix the ongoing issues that this one moment of bad dentistry has caused. Do not patronize this horrible, HORRIBLE dentist who really should be standing before a Judge for the Battery he did to me. He most likely has done this to many people. He has got to be the worst dentist that I have ever encountered. He gives dentistry a bad name.

Great Dentist

I have been going Dr. Wank for several years. He was highly recommended by several of my friends. Dr Wank is a great dentist and has great staff. Viki, the office manager is a great help and is very professional. Overall a very good experience whenever I need to go to the dentist.

Highly skilled and very professinal Dentist

I am one of those people who have major mental breakdowns at the thought of going to the dentist. I was recommended to Dr wannks office by 1800Dentist, to find out that not only does he take my insurance but colleages from my job also goto his office. My experience was very pleasant and i could tell that he was a great dentist from the moment i met him, i have known for sometime about the dental issues i have and Dr wamk reassured me that we can take it slow i appreciate his honesty and i have read the reviews after the fact i am happy that i didn't read before because i could have missed out on the best dentist in the city. I personally would recommend Dr wank to all who are in need of a skilled professinal Dentist.

Professional and Compassoinate

I was new to New York and in need of a dentist. My colleagues recommended Dr. Wank to me. He was professional and couldn't be nicer. I am glad to have found him and agree with all the personel that go to him in my office that he is truly a wonderful dentist. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Very good

It's two years that I'm a patient of Dr Wank(last visit this week) and for my experience he is not only a good dentist but also a caring and fair person. I was very surprised about the previous review because I recommended him to my best friend and she was so happy that she recommended him to many other people!!!

THE WORST DENTIST IN NYC

Dr. Wank is totally rude and unprofessional. I went there for a filling and as I was sitting in the chair he was yelling to the hygenist about a patient that was just there saying "this guy thinks i'm charity or something. i dont need his crappy oxford insurance and his 50.00. he should go somewhere else!" i was nervous because he was getting angry and working on my mouth. luckily it was over quickly because i realized that all he did was remove a filling that didn't need to be removed and put a new one on. He never filled the cavity. He asked me if i had insurance and i said "yes but i dont use my companies insurance, i use my husbands insurance, his is better" His answer back to me was "ooh you work. thats a suprise, i thought you were independently wealthy!" omg that is really inappropriate. Nobody should ever make someone feel like that. i was in utter disbelief. I grabbed my coat and ran out as quickly as possible

Took a chance and glad i did!!

I went to see Dr Wank and i had a surprisingly good experience, I looked on this site to see if i could find a doctor on this site. Dr Wank was recommended by a friend. The office was clean, the staff was delightful and helpful. They went over all of my insurance questions and it was great. What a great first impression, I was greated with a smile from the front desk staff and then i met Dr Wank. I had several issues and i am afraid of dentists. He explained what he found with a great bed side manner. There isnt alot of that anymore so i was greatful. Than i met his hygenist and i had a painless cleaning and never left with a bad taste in my mouth, no pund intended!!!!!Great Doctor and great staff will recommend to family and friends. Not every doctor is for everyone but for me he is now my new dentist and i am very happy with my choice.

Worst Doctor Ever

Dr. Wank is easily the worst Doctor I've ever had. Rude, rushed and obnoxious, I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy. If you're looking for a Doctor with a human touch, this is not your guy-
